The direct button for text messages is a fine example of people-driven innovation. PhoneEasy 332gsm has, like all other Doro phones designed by Ergonomidesign, been developed in close cooperation with the end users. During user studies, the design team found out about the senior’s needs and preferences in mobile appearances and functions. Increased accessibility for SMS functionality was one of the findings. In line with seniors’ needs and demands this mobile is also equipped with a powerful and clear sound and a crisp and easy-to-read display. To make it even easier to see the display, it is possible to adjust the contrast and also to zoom in on chosen texts.
“The Doro PhoneEasy 332 is modern and time adjusted, but still an easy-to-use phone that has a user selected design. It looks like any newly developed high tech mobile phone on the market but is yet better adapted to its user group. And that is exactly what they desire.”, says Jan Puranen, Industrial Designer at Ergonomidesign.
The phone has many features that simplify its use and enhance security for the users. For example, there are three “direct” buttons: an SMS button mentioned above, a separate key lock button and a flashlight button. The phone is also equipped with an alarm button, for any type of emergency. It is available in white and black in traditional mobile phone stores in Europe.
